Zhejiang Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Program Construction Site
Wenzhou Municipal First-Class Discipline Construction Project
The Architecture program at WKU, a Zhejiang Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Program, offers both Bachelor's and Master's degrees. It integrates engineering, art, and social responsibility to develop global architects equipped for 21st-century challenges. Its key strength lies in the NAAB-accredited curriculum, providing a foundation for international licensure and advanced studies. Through a studio-based, small-class model guided by faculty with degrees from Cornell, Harvard, and other leading institutions, graduates excel globally. Over 80% of graduates pursue further studies at world-class universities like Columbia and Cambridge or join renowned firms including Renzo Piano Building Workshop, OMA, and Gensler.
Program Vision & Agenda
We train critical, engaged practitioners who see architecture not as isolated form-making, but as a public and ecological practice. Each year, students contribute to a school-wide research project that tackles urgent global themes such as: Care and Repair, Waste. We place technology at the heart of architectural reflection, as a field of inquiry.
Students explore how tools, systems, and innovations relate to the ecological limits of our world and the excesses of contemporary consumption.
